Our company

Founded in 1985 the nursery ‘Het Wilgenbroek’, situated in a natural marsh landscape, with 100 year old pollard-willows, is focused on special perennials, in order to satisfy the most demanding gardeners. Over the years Thierry and Anneke van Paemel have elaborated an exceptional assortment of Helleborus, their favourite plants. All plants are manually pollinated, and every year brings new varieties, commercialised in the near future.

The Flemish Environmental Plan for Ornamental Plant Cultivation is a joint initiative by the employer’s associations. Their goal is to stimulate producers to cultivate in an environmentally friendly manner. In order to make it possible for companies to present themselves on the markets with an internationally recognized environment label, a joint venture agreement was concluded with the Dutch Environment, 'Project Ornamental Plant Cultivation (MPS)'.
